My Word is My Bond

My Word is My Bond

Tired of the same old group dynamics, six members of a writers group and their mentor, Barry Keep, embark on a journey of truth. But how real are the stories that we tell? Does memory lie? This play – first produced in 2011 – provides an entertaining and thought-provoking exploration of the boundaries between reality and fiction, creativity and vanity.

Our first play, My Word Is My Bond premiered at The Glens Centre, Manorhamilton in April 2011, and was developed with support from Leitrim County Council Arts Office & the Glens Centre’s ‘Platform Productions’ initiative.

It later ran at The Boys School, Smock Alley Theatre, Dublin as part of ABSOLUT Fringe 2011.

“Rarely does a new play text inspire such excitement in Absolut Fringe HQ as this one by Jo Holmwood. It’s sharp, insightful and very engaging.”
Festival Director

“A thoughtful look at the relationship between words expressed and those – sometimes subtle, sometimes humorously transparent – left unsaid […] witty, charming, thoughtful.”
