About Arroo Abú
Projects
‘Under the one roof’ radio drama series (2015-16)
(The Big Snow & The Execution of Hugh Kelly)
Based on a publication by Jo Holmwood released in 2015 about fictional and interweaving histories in the Bush Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, Ireland. The podcasts of this play will be available on this website soon.
Hunter Gatherer (2015)
James and Ollie are two men with two addictions… in one prison cell. Can they save each other from themselves? How can they overcome the struggle of the compulsive man in a controlled society?
My Word is My Bond (2011)
Tired of the same old group dynamics, six members of a writers group and their mentor, Barry Keep, embark on a journey of truth. But how real are the stories that we tell? Does memory lie? This play – first produced in 2011 – provides an entertaining and thought-provoking exploration of the boundaries between reality and fiction, creativity and vanity.
